The Call for Nominations is out!

Each year, ANSM presents the Award for Excellence in Museum Practices Individual Contribution to a museum employee or volunteer who has gone above and beyond to make a significant contribution to
the museum field. Recipients of this award have made remarkable efforts to increase knowledge about Nova Scotia’s history through exemplary museum practices.

Nominating someone from your museum is a great way to acknowledge their efforts to enrich our museum community. Nominees can be at any stage in their career, from any museum in Nova Scotia, and work in a paid or volunteer capacity.

The recipient of the award will be announced and honoured at ANSM’s AGM in September, featured in The Chronicle Herald, the Canadian Museum Association’s communications and ANSM’s Beacon e-newsletter. The recipient will also be automatically nominated by ANSM for the Canadian Museum Association’s Distinguished Service Award.

Please send applications to Katie Tanner, Awards Committee Chair by email: Award criteria, nomination forms, and information on previous recipients can be found on the ANSM website.
