The course format offers a combination of lecture, group discussion and exercises. Good collection management practices are the backbone of solid museum management. This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the main functions of managing a museum collection.
Presenter Valerie Lenethen has over 30 years’ experience in the museum field with a focus on collections management. She was collections specialist for the Nova Scotia Museum, retiring in 2014.
This workshop can be taken as part of the ANSM Museum Studies Program or on its own.
