DESCRIPTION:Museum Studies Program: Facilities Management\nFor 2022: All workshops will be offered online on Fridays from 2-4pm with the exception of the final class which will be held on Thursday in lieu of Truth and Reconciliation day. This course is presented in partnership with Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia.\nDate: Sept 2\, Sept 9\, Sept 16\, Sept 23\, Sept 29\nLocation: Online (Zoom)\nFacilitator: Barry Rodenhiser\nEnrolment Limits: 30 participants \nRegister Here\n\nLearning Outcomes\nThis course will explore the responsibilities\, skills\, policies and techniques involved in managing museums facilities. \nKey content/subject areas: \n\npublic safety and services\nbuilding environment\nsecurity\nworkplace safety\nfacility and site planning\nFederal standards and guidelines for the conservation of historic places.\n\nThe workshop will combine formal instruction\, group discussion\, and a graded take-home assignment. \nRegistration Information\n\nANSM Members: $100.00\nHeritage Trust of NS Members: $100.00\nNon-Members: $150.00\n\nRegistration is now open.
