Stages<\/h1>\n

ANSM regularly partners with Museum Studies and related programs to provide practical experience to students. The goal of ANSM\u2019s internship program is to host mutually beneficial internship opportunities that provide diverse and practical learning experiences and networking opportunities for emerging museum professionals.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Experience<\/h2>\n

ANSM works with interns to develop a well-rounded experience that is in tune with their interests and career goals. To date, internships have focused on collections management activities (collections surveys, data cleaning and enrichment), graphic\/web design, intellectual property rights, photography of textile collections, researching local manufacturers, and resource development. We strive to partner each intern with a subject matter expert to cultivate learning in a specific area of interest. Interns join ANSM staff on site visits around the province to provide hands-on training to museum staff and volunteers, working with a wide variety of collections and museums. They also participate in regional meetings, workshops, and conferences, as schedules and resources allow.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

ANSM Interns<\/h2>\n

For the duration of their internship, ANSM interns are ex-officio members of ANSM’s Education & Training Working Group (ETWG) and the Advisory Service Working Group (ASWG), assisting with future planning, and reporting on project progress.<\/p>\n

In order to provide the best experience possible, ANSM will only host one intern at a time. Interested individuals can contact the office for more information, and will participate in an interview process.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
