Even if your collection is in jeopardy, never endanger lives.<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small with_line width_default thick_1 style_solid color_border align_center\"><div class=\"w-separator-h\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h2>Canadian Conservation Institute Emergency Line<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The Canadian Conservation Institute (CCI) operates a 24-hour emergency line to provide support during heritage emergencies.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For advice from CCI, members of the Canadian heritage community can call <strong>1-866-998-3721<\/strong> day or night and press 0 for Security.<\/p>\n<p>Inform the operator that you have an emergency to ensure your call is given top priority. During normal work hours, your call will be passed immediately to someone who can assist you. During non-working hours, the operator will request the following details from you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>your name, institution, location, and your telephone number<\/li>\n<li>the nature of the collection affected<\/li>\n<li>the type, extent, and severity of damage<\/li>\n<li>what action, if any, has been taken so far<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This information will be conveyed to a CCI staff member and you will be contacted as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small with_line width_default thick_1 style_solid color_border align_center\"><div class=\"w-separator-h\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h2>ANSM Emergency Contact<\/h2>\n<p>We&#8217;re here to help! The office works with municipal authorities to help plan for emergencies, coordinate provincial resources when there is an emergency and help with analysis and evaluation after an emergency. An Emergency Preparedness Manual for Museums, 2nd Edition<\/a>, is a guide to help collecting organizations prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies.
