I feel I have learned so much about the exciting yet challenging nature of working here at ANSM.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On my first day of the job, I was welcomed by an enthusiastic and warm group of people- eve<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">n though they had been experiencing a somewhat chaotic day. Over time, I soon realized how vast the workload is for each person here at ANSM; I started to understand why it is so hard to respond to the question: \u201cwhat is it that\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-5860 size-us_600_400\" src=\"https:\/\/ansm.ns.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Image_20250827_144311_604-300x400.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ansm.ns.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Image_20250827_144311_604-300x400.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/ansm.ns.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Image_20250827_144311_604-225x300.jpeg 225w, https:\/\/ansm.ns.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Image_20250827_144311_604-768x1024.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/ansm.ns.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Image_20250827_144311_604-150x200.jpeg 150w, https:\/\/ansm.ns.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Image_20250827_144311_604-113x150.jpeg 113w, https:\/\/ansm.ns.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Image_20250827_144311_604-75x100.jpeg 75w, https:\/\/ansm.ns.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Image_20250827_144311_604-scaled.jpeg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">you do for work?\u201d The answer is \u201ca little bit of everything.\u201d I found myself learning skills that I never would have acquired in my undergraduate c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">hemistry degree.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visiting a handful of museums as part of my job wa<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">s so much fun, not only because I was able to browse the \u201cbehind the scenes\u201d of museum collections, but also because I got to interact with a variety of lovely museum workers who were passionate about their work.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thank you so much to the ANSM team- Devin, Karin, Emilie, and Alyssa- you all have made my already exciting time here even more enjoyable, if that is even possible \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Warmest regards,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sophie<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Looking back on the past seven weeks of my internship, I am extremely grateful for the opportunity I have been given.
