This summer has just flown by!
I’m so incredibly thankful to Devin, Karin, Emilie, and Alyssa for the amazing internship experience this past summer. The work that ANSM is doing is incredibly important and I’m happy I got to be part of this amazing organization for the past few months.
I was able to work on a handful of projects this summer, but perhaps the most memorable will be my contributions to the Made in Nova Scotia database, in terms of both researching Acadian makers and being involved in getting a handful of research stories published on the NovaMuse website. I was also able to work on compiling translations for CollectiveAccess which was a great way to get up close and personal with the online system while completing work that will benefit users across the province.
I’m leaving feeling confident and prepared in my abilities to tackle various tasks in the museum sector, and I couldn’t have asked for a better group of mentors as I complete my degree and head off into the world of heritage!

Take care!
Claire
