As I wrap up my internship here at ANSM, I am greeted with a flood of emotions.  This internship has been so fulfilling from the very beginning.  From day one, the ANSM team welcomed me in and helped me make the best of my experience.

As my first experience in the museum world, it was a jump into the deep end with all the projects on my list.  From working on educational resources, to audiovisual research and all the little tasks in between, I learned so much more than what I had originally expected.  The ANSM team made sure that I was getting involved in different areas of museum management.  They entrusted me with tasks that were representative of the organization, and knew that I would be able to accomplish them to the greatest extent.

Not only was the ANSM team so welcoming, but also all the museum staff across Nova Scotia that I had the absolute pleasure of meeting.  Part of why I was so thrilled to come out here was to meet other museum professionals and create connections.  It is true when people say the East Coast has the nicest people in Canada.  I want to express my appreciation and gratitude to those I have met through site visits, or simply through email.

To the ANSM team, I want to thank you all for taking a chance on me and having me out here to be your intern.  Words cannot express how grateful I am to have had this opportunity.

Cheers,

Hannah
