Hello Everyone,
I hope you had a very good summer. I know it has been a trying time keeping our facilities and services going with the Covid-19 Pandemic still so uppermost in our minds. My hat is off to everyone, especially our frontliners!
Our AGM will be via Zoom again this year on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2pm. I hope to see many people there again this year. The Zoom format worked very well last year.
Your Hiring Committee did an excellent job this summer vetting candidates for our new Executive Director. An announcement is pending very soon. We just have to finish the contract and start date negotiations. We are very close. I’m very excited to tell you about our new ED as soon as possible.
This has been a busy time getting ready for Anita’s retirement, hiring a new ED, vetting Board candidates, completing the Museum Evaluations and offering our courses – all during a Pandemic. The Nominations Committee had great uptake for the nominations and the Awards Committee will have an announcement at the AGM, as well. The Board thanks you for your patience and support.
